There are five departments operating within the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest.
To meet all exigencies specified by the assessment criteria, TUCEB has decided to set up the Quality Management Department in TUCEB, meant to add up to other activities and decisions related to the quality of the teaching staff and curricula, the scientific research standards, and the quality of service, and resources.
The Doctoral Studies Department is in charge of ensuring continuous improvement in the TUCEB specific areas of study by organizing doctoral studies at a competitively scientific level on the internal and European market.
The Department of Foreign Languages and Communication (DFLC) provides courses of foreign languages for all students of the Technical University of Civil Engineering. Moreover, DFLC offers academic philology programmes in the domain of Applied Modern Languages, specialization Translation and Interpretation.
The Teacher Training Department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of initial and continuous training for the teaching career and psycho-pedagogical and methodic counseling on the professional development of the students and teachers. It also initiates and carries out specific scientific research activities and supports refresher pedagogical training for the university teaching staff.
The Civil Engineering Research and Design Department (RDCD) is an entity aimed at conducting multidisciplinary research among the faculties of the Technical University of Engineering of Bucharest. RDCD culture is very flexible and the multi-level research teams ensure the recognition of the university research level, while the external collaborations of its experts in areas such as Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnics, Railways, Roads and Bridges, Geodesy, Building Services and Technological Equipment lead to the development of innovative industrial solutions, thus meeting the current exigencies and strategic challenges in Romania.
The departments of the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest are lead by a bureau composed of a Director and a Deputy Director elected by the Academic Senate - following the Academic Board's proposal - from members of the teaching staff that work in the respective department.
