Annual report on evaluation and quality assurance in the TUCEB
The Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest operates as a public institution, having legal personality - according to the Romanian Constitution (art. 32, paragraph 6) and the Education Law the University has full autonomy and academic freedom in its own space, and its own revenues derived from government budget and other sources, according to the law.
The academic and administrative-financial management activities carried out in the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest have always been based on the specific provisions of the legislation in force, Government Decisions, M.E.C.I. Directives, Ministry Orders, and decisions of the TUCEB Senate, as well as of the University Charter. Conditioned regulations have been generated by implementing the Bologna process.
In accordance with Article 33, paragraph (2) of Law no. 87/2006 for approving O.U.G. no. 75/2005 on quality assurance in education, the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest has carried out specific activities of organizing and evaluating the quality of the educational and research activities, at internal level, in order to continuously boost its quality.
To comply with these provisions, the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest has evidenced constant concern towards meeting the performance criteria in "The Standards and Performance Indicators' from the External Assessment Methodology of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
These elements have permanently engaged the attention of the management of the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest and of the Academic College of the Senate that have periodically analyzed the development and the fulfillment of the objectives approved by the Senate.
The Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest has had an elite teaching staff (128 professors, 130 associate professors, 133 lecturers, 151 assistants and junior assistants), evidenced both through the results of the teaching and research activities and the direct involvement in the construction of the most important buildings in the country.
